  • Hi! Thanks for letting us know about the issue you see with the Facebook plugin. Can you share more about the process you used to delete the plugin? Can you share if you have used the following reconnection process?

    https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce-how-to-re-connect

I do know that you’ll need to be logged into your Facebook Business account rather than your personal account so please be sure of that. Let us know more about the process you have used for this and reply with an update, please. I hope this helps! If you have any further questions please feel free to reply to this message and someone will get back to you.

Unfortunately I did not use this process. I deactivated the plugin, deleted it then reinstalled.

I understand. If you now see the Manage Connection button and it appears as if Facebook might be connected, the Uninstall it following the process here: https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce-how-to-re-connect/

If not, you might be trying to connect with your personal account instead of your Business account. Make sure that you are using the correct account.

Let us know if you need further help!

I’m not sure what you want me to do. This is the same link you previously sent. I don’t have the uninstall screen. When I click on Facebook it goes directly to the second screen you show – Get Started.

After I click on that I get this message: You’ve previously linked WooCommerce Integration to Facebook, would you like to continue with your previous settings?

When I go through the steps I choose my business manager account but my business page is grayed out and I can’t click on it.

My catalog is still there and I can tag existing products but it’s no longer syncing so I can’t tag new products.

    Thanks for getting back @madgeshatbox.

I understand that when you go through the connection process, on the screen to select the page, you see that the page is greyed out.

    There are two possibilities:

    • This page is ‘Not eligible’ for connection because you do not own the asset – it happens when you’re selecting a page you may have access to, but is owned by another user. Only the owner of a page can make a connection to it.
    • This also happens when the account or page has had issues with products or ads that violated the commerce policies. This is less common and you may want to reach Facebook if it’s the case.

Therefore, check whether either of the above possibilities is true on your end and let us know so that we can guide you further.

Also, if possible, we’d like to see a screenshot of the page selection screen where you’re seeing the greyed-out page.

I recommend https://snipboard.io for sharing screenshots.

    Thanks.

Here’s the screen shot. My Madgeshatbox facebook page is grayed out as not eligible. I still have a catalog of my inventory prior to trying to delete the plugin and reinstall. Just can’t reconnect to update and start syncing again.

    Hello @madgeshatbox

    Thanks for the screenshot.

Could you please try the following:

    – Navigate to the Facebook Business Settings – Pages area
    – Select the page in question
    – Go to the People tab for that page and ensure your name is listed there with the “Manage Page” toggle enabled
    – Check if the steps in this article help gain the correct access: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/183277585892925?id=420299598837059

Let us know how that goes

This worked. thanks so much. Now I’m back to the original error that comes up when I edit a product which is why I reinstalled the program in the first place ??

We’ll need to take a deeper look into this. Please enable the debug mode as shown in this screenshot from the settings page: https://d.pr/i/NSB0Xj

Then, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

We will be able to help you further there.
