I have installed WP Youtube Lyte and when I activate it, the video inside WPRM disappears (actually, there is a gray rectangle). This happens in Android phones, it doesn’t happen in Chrome on Windows.

For example, on this page, I have the Youtube videos embeded twice: one inside and one outside WPRM plugin. The one outside (near top of page) works fine, the one inside became a gray rectangle.

As soons as I deactivate WP YouTube Lyte, the video is back on WPRM.

We essentially just output the video embed code as is without making any changes to it. So our plugin shouldn’t really affect anything.

What is the exact embed code you’ve added?

Did you check with their support as well?

Hi, I am using the shortcut provided on youtube (when share is clicked):

I found this answer on their support forum. It seems I have to use the shortcut instead?

I’m not that familiar with that plugin, but you could indeed try using their shortcode instead.

Ok, thanks. I tried and didn’t work.

What did you try specifically and what was the result?

We really just output the embed code exactly as you put it there, so it should behave the same as in the regular post content.

I got the following message from WP youtube lyte:

OK, both video’s are LYTE, but having 2 (or more) instances of the same video on a page is highly confusing for LYTE, which is likely why you’re experiencing the issues you’re describing.

Sounds like a problem on their end.

The easy solution would be to only display the video once, I guess. Is there a specific reason for adding it twice?

Apparently, if I delete one of those, my total views on youtube declines considerably (some people view on top of the page, some people view on bottom of the page). Most of my youtube traffic comes from the site, not from youtube itself.

But thanks for all the help. Really appreciated.
