Do I need to have AMP (an AMP plugin) on my website to use this plugin? I am thinking about not having AMP pages on my website anymore, but at the same time I want to start creating Web Stories. So I am unsure if I can deactivate my AMP plugin or not.

    Thanks

  • Hi @mfelicio thanks for your question. Web Stories are powered by AMP and the Web Stories post is an AMP document. AMP is a framework built with its own optimizations.

AMP documents must also adhere to certain specifications in the code to be valid AMP.

You can enable AMP for the rest of your WordPress site by using the official AMP plugin, however, the plugin is not required to use Web Stories so if you are thinking of not having AMP pages on your website that is not a problem and you will still be able to create Web Stories.
