    Dear Support
Please I have this problem and try to solve it by reading the article but I did not find a solution. I did login into browser incognito window and try to set it up but the same problem.

“Error: We’ve detected there’s already an existing Analytics tag on your site (ID UA-xxxxxx023-1), but your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property. You can either remove the existing tag and connect to a different account, or request access to this property from your team.”

My account has another ID and the property is set is correct and did not have any problem with it!
The url of the site is: actifisio.ch

    Hi @codography,

Thanks for reaching out. This error is normal if there is an existing snippet on your site, which the Google account you used to setup Site Kit doesn’t have access to. In order to be able to view Analytics data for this site you can perform one of the following:

    1. If known ask the owner of this referenced Analytics property to grant you access at Analytics level, analytics.google.com. You may be the owner of this snippet yourself if you have another Google account, which wasn’t used during Site Kit setup.
    2. Determine the source of the existing snippet and replace it with your preferred Analytics property, before then connecting the Analytics module within Site Kit once more
    3. Determine the source of the existing snippet and remove it. You can then try to connect the Analytics module within Site Kit once more.

If may also be possible that the the existing snippet may be from a different Google account which you may own. If so you can access Google Analytics from that Google account, before granting access to the Google account which you’ve used to setup Site Kit.

We have more information on this specific warning on the plugin website that contains expanded details on this. I’m not sure if this is the documentation you were referring to which you already reviewed.

If you want me to assist in locating the source of this snippet feel free to share your Site Health information.

Thank you I will share the site health. if you could please send me the article or video tutorial that I could do one of your suggestion:
    – If known ask the owner of this referenced Analytics property to grant you access at Analytics level, analytics.google.com. You may be the owner of this snippet yourself if you have another Google account, which wasn’t used during Site Kit setup.
    – Determine the source of the existing snippet and replace it with your preferred Analytics property, before then connecting the Analytics module within Site Kit once more
    – Determine the source of the existing snippet and remove it. You can then try to connect the Analytics module within Site Kit once more.`

    Thanks in Advance

No problem at all, happy to assist where possible. In order to determine the source of the snippet we don’t have any video at present, as there are multiple possibilities. If you can check your Divi theme configuration that might be a good first start, specifically “Divi > Theme Options“. Under the Integration tab there may be an Analytics snippet placed.

Let me know whether you’re able to locate a snippet from there, which is common for Divi theme users. If not I’ll guide you through some further checks, using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. You’ll find a guide for this on the plugin website.

@codography Great that you found it, nice troubleshooting!

One strange thing, there is no number in the dashboard!

If you’d like to tell me more on this I’d be happy to assist. Are you seeing any message, such as “Gathering data”? If there has not been data collected on the property you’ve connected this is normal, as it takes time to collect data from your side.

If you’re looking for historic data to be displayed you’ll need to get access to the old Analytics property, which you removed. In order to do so you’d need to know the admin contact for that property. As mentioned previously this could be you, from a different Google account.

Let me know more on what you’re seeing anyway and I can advise further.

    Hi @codography,

Thanks for the response, and no problem whatsoever, happy to assist.

The screenshot you shared is very useful, as it indicates that there are no statistics gathered for you site just yet, resulting in the zero figure. Assuming you have some traffic to your site this will be reflected as early as tomorrow. The Analytics API, used by Site Kit shows data up to the previous day, it doesn’t include real time or same day data.

I’ve also checked your site using tagassistant.google.com and I can confirm your Analytics visits are being recorded, to your new Analytics property.

So to summarize you’ve configured Analytics correctly, to your preferred property. As early as tomorrow you’ll start to see traffic being recorded on that newly added property. If you prefer not to wait to view your Analytics data within Site Kit you can also use the Analytics real time report, which will show live traffic. If you’re trying to track your own site visits be sure you’re visiting your site while not logged in, as the default Analytics configuration within Site Kit doesn’t include logged in traffic (Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > Analytics > Edit).

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

Thank you so much @jamesosborne , you have already summarised everything.

as you mention that I did great work and everything is good, thanks for motivating me but I follow your instruction to see the real-time report and it’s 0!!
let’s wait till tomorrow then we could see.
could I leave the issue open or should I close it?

Thank you so much and wish you a great weekend.

    (@jamesosborne)

    No problem @codography.

The real time report will need to have an active visitor on your site. Your own visit won’t count if you’re logged in and using the default Site Kit Analytics configuration. I’m on your site now so that hit should be recorded.

I’m happy to keep this support topic open so we can check early next week. You have a great weekend also. Let’s communicate on Monday.
