Getting duplicate emails on CF7 form submit

I’m working on a generic form which, until I did some testing this evening, was working as expected but now when I press submit once I am getting two emails through and I’m not sure why.

I tried looking for help with this but I couldnt find an answer on anyones posts. Just wondering if anyone had encounterd anything similar and if you might have any ideas about how to stop this.

I’ve tried a few things and I have reverted all the changes I had made but the issue still persists.

Unfortunately I cannot provide a site link as it is still in development and I am not able to share it with anyone so I’m looking for general advice at the moment.

Any ideas?

EDIT:
Further testing shows it is when selecting one of the dropdown selections only that this issue happens. I have it set up to send to a specific email address when selecting option A or B in the dropdown list. Option B is sending two emails, option A is just sending one email.
