abc.com/index/ to abc.com/xyz/

Few years back, when I was a newbie, I installed the wordpress in a directory called index. So, currently the URL of site reads as abc.com/index/. Now, I want to change the name of the directory to “xyz” so that the url reads abc.com/xyz/

Can I do this? If yes, what changes will I have to make in the sqlDB to make the URLs point to abc.com/xyz/ instead of abc.com/index/
