Payments charged from card but order status goes to cancelled

I have been using this plugin for CyberSource payments and it does not properly update order status upon charging the customer’s card. There has been several complaints of not receiving the order email because the order has been moved to CyberSource Pending to Cancelled instead of CyberSource Complete even though it has charged the order amount from the customer’s card. This is random and I’m looking for a fix for this critical issue.
