[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] NextGen Gallery 1.5.4 and 1.5.5 conflict with Studiopress Metro Theme

  • I run the wp sites, all running 1.5.3 until this am.

    I upgraded one site (running studiopress’s Metro Theme) to 1.5.5 and my home page went wonky on safari, but worked fine on firefox.

    I isolated the problem to this plugin by deactivating and reactivating plugins.

    I downgraded to 1.5.4 (same problem), the uninstalled, re-installed and re-activated 1.5.5. it now works fine except it doesn’t know about the 20+ galleries I have already (laboriously) uploaded and tagged over the last 6 months. When I click on “Manage Gallery”, I get a list of nothing. I added a new gallery, and now it is the only one that shows up.

    The original image files are all still intact in the /wp-content/gallery directory on the server.

    How do I re-associate the existing image files with this new version of nextgen gallery?

    I restored the sql db to before the upgrade from 1.5.3 to 1.5.5 and now the home page is wonky again (but only on safari).

    tolucagranite.net

    The galleries were all recovered.

    I am at a complete loss as to how to troubleshoot this.

    Please help.
