How to have summaries only on front page

    I’m testing out WordPress 1.5 for possible use on a client’s site. What I can’t figure out is how NOT to have full posts appear on the front (or home) page of the site, but instead have a four or five line summary of each post with a <<Read More>> link at the end of the summary. I’ve seen other WordPress sites with this feature, but can’t figure out how to make it happen on my test installation. Thanks in advance for any light shed on this.

    When creating a post, you can click the more button on the quicktags where you want your post to be broken up. It’ll insert the correct tag and then when it displays on the site it will only have that top portion of the post and a link to view the rest.

    WOW! Thanks for that quick reply! That takes care of it. The only problem is that the page I land on by clicking the “Read More” link has very little navigation; but then there’s always the browser’s “back” button.
