    Hi supporters,

I’m ready to make ‘staging’ site to ‘live’ but I have a few concerns and encounter some problems:
    – My existing site is not using WordPress and if I turn ‘staging’ site to ‘live’ which will be using the same URL, how does it affect the existing one?
    – Is it possible to migrate from ‘staging’ to ‘live’ without using plugin? Is it possible to use cPanel Softaculous instead? So far, all I found from my research was create ‘staging’ from ‘live’. I only have ‘staging’ at the moment, so I’m not sure where to go from here.
    – Is adding Directory in URL necessary or can I skip that?
    – Regarding database, are both ‘staging’ and ‘live’ sharing the same database? Is it recommended to have the same database or separate one?

The existing one will be replaced with the new one.

If you want to do it manually, the WordPress documentation has a section on how to move one site from one place to another one:

You could export the staging db, create a new one, and import the db

Depends on your level of technical, but I would suggest using this:
    https://en-ca.www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/

Just export your staging site to a file using the plugin.
Install WordPress on your production URL.
Install the plugin again, and Import the file you exported.
    Done.
    Should take about ten minutes.
