Visit Site link – header/banner with links has vanished

  • Up until very recently I could log into WP, go to ‘visit site’ and then my website would be displayed with a very useful bar at the top of it with things like “edit this page” – it made it very easy to navigate, spot something that needed updating, and then go directly to edit it.

    Something has happened and now that bar has vanished. If I click ‘visit site’, I just see the site with no WP interface at the top.

    Is this something that has happened in an update, or have I accidentally changed an option I shouldn’t have?

    I’m running WordPress 5.9.

    Can you please check if Show Toolbar when viewing site is checked on Dashboard > Users > Profile > Toolbar?
