Critical Error due to Yoast SEO

    Hello,

    I updated my company WordPress to PHP 7.4 yesterday morning, around 9 am, and we received an email, at 1 pm, about a “type E_ERROR” = “Uncaught Error: Class ‘WPSEO_Cornerstone_Filter’ not found in /home/legoutdeki/www/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-admin.php:376”.

    The website and admin dashboard seams to work well but I still would like to be sure that there are no problems.

    All my plugins are up to date, SEO data optimization process is done.

    Some more information about our configuration :

    WordPress version 5.9
Thème : Hello Elementor (version 2.5.0)
Yoast SEO (version 18.2)
PHP version 7.4.25
MySQL : 5.6
PHP memory ok

    @elodiedaubie We are sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this error after updating Yoast SEO.

    Looking at the error details, we observe that a class that is no longer available in the plugin, although ‘WPSEO_Cornerstone_Filter’ is still being referenced. This usually happens when the plugin files are cached and some old files are still used after updating the plugin. On occasions, this causes temporary errors that resolve themselves once the cache has been cleared.

    If the problem doesn’t resolve for you automatically, can you please try clearing the cache from your theme, plugin, server and CDN (e.g. CloudFlare) before and after updating Yoast SEO? If you are not sure how to clear the cache from a theme or plugin please speak to those authors. If you want to clear cache from the server, please speak to your host provider.

    Can you please try the aforementioned suggestions and let us know whether this resolves your issue?
