Hello,

I have been using Facebook for Woocommerce for some time, usually without error.

Today, I have noticed that every single product I try and update on Woocommerce, gives the following error;

“Unsupported post request. Object with ID ‘<facebook ID number>’ does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api”

Please advise why this would be happening and please offer a solution.

Thank you

Howdy @amnamn180

Sorry to hear about this. I’m guessing the error code you are getting is Error 524. If this is correct, then this error code is generally related to Cloudflare.

If you temporarily disable Cloudflare for your site, does updating a product work better then?

If this isn’t the correct error, or you do not use Cloudflare, or it just doesn’t work, let us know, along with a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I don’t use CloudFlare. Here is the error I am getting everytime I update the products

“Unsupported post request. Object with ID ‘1.39E+15’ does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api

I checked my Facebook pixel and system messages. There doesn’t seem to be a problem listed???

Hello @jolenemacinjax

Thanks for your message! Can you please open a new support thread so we can address the problem individually and keep things organized? Please include a copy of your System Status Report.

@amnamn180 In addition to the System Status Report that we’d like to review, I have also found more information on what could be the cause.

The error “Unsupported post request. Object with ID ‘X’ does not exist” may occur due to a couple of reasons:

1) Editing/removing product on the Facebook product catalog side
2) Changing type of product generating a new ID
3) Communication issues with Facebook API during sync

This might on rare occasions cause the product catalog to go out of sync and cause error messages like yours.

To clean up the Facebook product catalog you can go to WP Admin > Marketing > Facebook > Sync products and manually trigger re-syncing of the whole product catalog.

You can find more details here: https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#catalog-syncing

You can use the “Reset Facebook Metadata” option if this is happening with just a few of your products.

Let us know how that goes!
