Media Library Hangs On 2.4.0.6

    Hi,

    When we updated to 2.4.0.6 we discovered we could not upload to the Media Library or view what was in the library. It would just hang on the loading icon.

    Rolling back to 2.4.0.5 fixed it.

    We’re on a multi-site, everything is up to date, PHP 7.4

    There’s an issue with the 2.4.0.6 update and we’re pushing 2.4.0.7 tonight. You should see it before 11 pm eastern, if not sooner.

    2.4.0.7 is now ready for download. Please test the latest version and let us know if this fixes your issue.

    This bug has now been resolved and 2.4.0.7 release is available on Github, and will be available shortly via the WordPress repository.

The issue was indeed due to some debug information being output unconditionally. This was mangling JSON data endpoints (prepending to data making them unreadable) and redirections from working (headers already sent error.) Here is the issue on Github:
