Since latest WordPress update (5.9.2), the Facebook box disappeared. The widget is now blank in my sidebar. Nothing else changed on the website, just updated to the latest WordPress version.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey @khaliel ,

I have the same setup, but this works. On parkietenvilla.nl, which is also 2.9.2 and Facebook widget 2.2.6 but there it still works.

Did your theme also get updated, or do you have some kind of social/adblocker?

I see it on your site as well: https://i.imgur.com/jvTI0Hg.png

Did you test it in another browser?

    Kind regards,

Tried with Safari (15.4) and Chrome (99.0.4844.51). It won’t appear on both.

I thought about the theme as well, but I checked some other websites using this plugin (following links in the previous questions on this support forum) and it appears blank on all other websites for me too.

The only other option is the latest MacOS update from yesterday, but as I see how it would affect Safari, which was updated at the same time, I don’t see why it would affect Chrome as it’s blank under Chrome too.

EDIT: it appears on Safari iOS. So, could it be in a way however be linked to the MacOS update?

    Hi @khaliel,

to be honest I don’t know anything about Mac or MacOS. I do know that Apple is focussing on privacy lately, so they might have a new builtin tracker-blocker or something like that?

It’s not really nice to say this maybe, but it seems to me that the plugin is not the problem and I don’t really know how this can be fixed on your end. It sounds like it’s a MacOS issue. I am working on Linux and on different browsers I see the widget (when there is no ad/social blocker on).

    Kind regards,

    Jeroen Peters

Alas – I have the same issue. The plugin worked just fine on Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge. A few days ago, I was notified that it has disappeared from Safari. It displays just fine on the other browsers listed above. I’m running WordPress 5.9.3 and 2.2.6 of AIO Like Widget. I also work on Linux so have little knowledge of MacOS but I believe they’re rolling out an OS update. If anyone has any advice on what can be done on my side (or by the users) to fix this, I’d be grateful. Google hasn’t been much help so far.

The error message displayed in developer tools console is Refused to display …. in a frame because it set ‘X-FRAME-OPTIONS’ to ‘DENY’.

    hey @sheryllynn,

thanks for reaching out. Do you maybe have some screenshots to post or an URL to share so I can see if the plugin output is working well? Most of the times, this isn’t a plugin issue, but I can research it for you.

    Kind regards,

thanks for the quick reply. The website URL is https://annapolisfriends.org/. The FB widget is in the footer.

It works fine on Chrome and all other browsers I’ve tried, except Safari. I don’t have a Mac so can’t show you a screenshot of the fail case, but the error from Safari developer tools console is “Refused to display ….. in a frame because it set “X-Frame-Options” to “DENY”

I don’t think the problem is with the plugin, because as I say, it works just fine on all other browsers. If I understand correctly, Apple recently pushed down a new OS version and that’s what broke the widget on Safari.

I’m coming up with nothing as as solution (other than telling people to ditch their Macs), and I know very little about Mac OS so I’m hoping someone will be able to enlighten me.
