    Hello,

Now I want to remove the pixel on my website, so I remove the pixel ID from the plugin but the pixel remains.
Then, I click on “reset settings to all default”, the pixel remains.
Then, I uninstall and reinstall the plugin, pixel remains.

It seems that the plugin write some php/java/whatever in the source files of my website so the pixel is still there.

My question is very simple :
How can I clean properly the website from your plugin and also from the pixel?
I looked everywhere in the doc and in the support, no one asked this.
    I believe it’s a very important question ??

    Thank you very much,
    – Marty

The most likely reason you still have the pixel on the website is cache. So clear all your caches after you remove the ID, or deactivate the plugin.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the quick reply,
I also cleaned the cache (browser and wordpress), I’ve forget to say it at the beginning.

Where does the script of the pixel is written ? Which file ?

    Thanks,

Well, there’s probably some extra cache.

If the plugin is disabled or the ID removed, it CAN’T do anything on your website.

There is no script we write that remains active once you deactivate the plugin.

I see, let me found the issue on my own then.
    Regarding your topic :

Yes change the pixel ID, generate a CAPI token, add it inside the plugin, save.

Clear all caches, and that’s it.

Thank you for your awesome support,

However, I don’t understand what happened for real.
The pixel (through Pixel Helper) works perfectly.
It captures AddToCart, Initiate Checkout, Purchase with the correct product price value.

But when i look at the informations in the event manager, i see those :

I do not see those events, just “signal” events without any product value (€).
Does it means that the pixel is well configurated anyway?

    Something wrong?

Thanks for your help, this is my last concern,

The Signal event is a custom event we fire automatically to capture various actions. You can use it to create things like Custom Conversions, or Custom Audiences.

You can turn it ON/OFF or change its triggers on the plugin’s main page.

    Thanks for your reply,
It works, no more “signal” events in my events manager.

However : “AddToCart, Initiate Checkout, Purchase” still do not appear anymore on the events manager. As you can see here, the checkout should trigger “initiate checkout” but it keep showing “Page View” for everything :

But on my Facebook Pixel Helper I see correctly the “Initiate Checkout” event and the correct price value :

What could be wrong if your plugin is as simple as copy/paste Pixel ID ?
Any ideas to solve the issue of triggering the correct events on my events manager?

Thank you so much for your help,

The events are fired correctly if you can see them with Pixel Helper. I can’t telly you why they are not reported by the Events Manager testing tool.

Noted, thank you very much for your help,
I will confirm with Facebook Team and I’ll close the subject with a conclusion,

Thank you very much for your help

So to conclude, we’ve spent 2 days with the Facebook Team.
For unknown reason, your plugin works perfectly with the FB Pixel Helper but if I test events with the business FB Dashboard, events don’t fire properly.
They said that it’s working good but I do not have any vision on my side.
Therefore, I will spend some money in ads and see if the turnover is well captured.

    Cheers
