When logging out, automatically logs back in

    Is there a persistent login setting or something? I can’t find anything, but whenever I log out (as admin), it logs me right back in. Not sure if it’s happening with other members or not.

    I don’t have any other plugins that would do this, so I’m assuming this plugin is the cause.

    Seems like a security risk, and I’d like to change this behavior. How can I fix this? Thanks for any help.

    I’m sorry to hear about the issue you are facing here.

    We do not do anything special on logout, and we let WordPress handle the logout functionality. I haven’t personally come across this issue or noticed any tickets around this problem.

    If you set the Paid Memberships Pro Log In Page, under Page settings, to “Use WordPress Default” does this issue persist?

    I also recommend in looking at your caching settings if you are running caching, and not to cache your frontend login page.

    Are you using the latest Paid Memberships Pro version?

    If I use the default page, it does not happen.

    I deleted the entire cache, and then changed it back to the Memberships Pro login page, and it started happening again.

    We do have the current version, and it is a paid account.

    We’re using WP Super Cache, which doesn’t seem to have a setting to not cache individual pages. However, since the Membership login page seems to use GET parameters, I set it to not cache pages with those. Still happening.

    If I log out twice in a row quickly, it stays logged out, but that’s the only way to do it. However, if I refresh that page (it goes to the Membership login page after logging out), it logs in without hitting the Log In button. Also, if you’re logged out, and just go to the Membership login page, it logs you in without pressing the button.

    I recommend opening a support ticket on https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/support as we will be able to provide you with more detailed support than we offer here.

    I haven’t been able to replicate this issue, but will continue to try and replicate the issue for the time being and revert back when I can.
