Short description field is missing after latest update

Hi

After the recent update the “short description” data field is missing and I can’t get it back in the backend while adding a new product or editing an existing one.

The theme I am using does support “short description” and that option is active within the theme customizer but seems like after a new update WordPress has lost this option.

I even can’t find this option under Products > Screen Options > Short Description. (The short description is missing from the screen option)

Kindly help as this is an important feature that I need from my store and its very handy.
