    I am getting this in the error logs:

    [17-Mar-2022 17:15:30 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function apply_filters() in /home/tryhri5/public_html/wp-content/themes/neve/index.php:15
    Stack trace:
    #0 {main}
      thrown in /home/tryhri5/public_html/wp-content/themes/neve/index.php on line 15

    What is this and how do I fix it?

  • Hi @jroli,

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

    Unfortunately I don’t get any error, so the cause may be linked to your environment. It could be a plugin conflict, so please install the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, enable the troubleshooting mode which will deactivate all plugins and check if the issue persists. If the problem doesn’t occur anymore, it means it was indeed caused by a plugin conflict and you should reactivate the plugins one by one, until you find the culprit. Then, replace that plugin with an alternative one.

    If this doesn’t help and as I see that you use the Pro version of the theme, please contact us regarding this issue and for any other questions you may have in the future by opening a ticket directly on our site. This way we will be able to help you quicker and more efficiently.

    Have a nice day!

    I am getting this error too since around the middle of March – did you din out what the issue was?

    Hi @jroli, I see that you got a problem with the file index.php. So firstly go the appearance tab in the dashboard and then click on theme file editor. From there navigate to the index.php file from the right side menu and check what is on line 16. May be you have coded something and you didn’t wrote the code properly.

    Hi @gerbull001!

    Please follow the steps provided above to check for plugin conflicts.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi @jroli,

    In case the server where your website is hosted is running PHP 8, the problem was addressed in Neve 3.2.2

    Best regards,
    Stefan
