Hi everyone! I want to create bundles which would do the following:
    – include some (1 – 3) fixed products which belong to the bundle and have to be taken.
    – include 3 – 4 product options of different categories. In our case, depending on what motorbike someone rides, there would be some kind of bespoke mounting options, or other products which would only fit for this chosen motorbike.
So, I would want first of all show what is in the bundle by default, incl. imagery and price. In our case this would be auxiliary lights and a controller.
Then for the optional products, visitors could either chose not to buy any optional products from a category, or choose between 1 – 3 options.
I.e. they can chose not to order the light mount option at all, or they can chose from 2 – 3 options.
Next would be other product category options which would i.e. be an auxiliary horn or a horn mount, or some rear lights.

Beneath all this I would want to show a bundle description and links to each of the products included in the bundle.

I have already created a really cool composite kit builder, but it seems that visitors rather buy ready-made bundles instead of building their own kits. I can not find out how I can show the fixed included products on top and at the same time offer dropdowns for the other choices. Anybody out there who could help please? THANKS so much!

    Hello there,

It seems you want to create a bundle with the option to add relevant products.

Perhaps the variable product option could be used:

    1. Create a product which acts as the main set of fixed products for the bundle. Make sure Variable product is selected for Product data. The product image would be a picture of all those products (e.g. auxiliary lights and a controller).
    2. Create an attribute (under Attributes) to represent each option. Type in each option and/or combination in the Value(s): box.
    3. Under Variations, create each option and/or combination where you can specify the price, image, description, link, etc. for each one.

You can read more about variable products here: https://woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/.

Otherwise, I think the Product Bundles extension (https://woocommerce.com/products/product-bundles/) can help you do this.

Let me know what you think.

    Hello everyone,

Yers, product bundles extension is a great option.

I understand you would like to offer the possibility for your customers to select bundles, and then to show upsells (related products).

The following plugins might help you out as well:

    * To create product kits, https://woocommerce.com/products/composite-products/

    * For up-sells and cross-sells, https://woocommerce.com/products/up-sells-and-cross-sells

These plugins have a 30-day money-back guarantee so you can test them out in this timeframe.

For any pre-sales questions, you can ask them here:
    https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

You might need to create an account before. I hope this points you in the right direction.

    Hello Prin S!
Thanks so much for getting back to me! I had a look but am not sure I understand well enough, but as far as I understand using the variable option seems to be a lot of manual setup for each product, plus not sure I understand it anyway ??

Bundle-Product I want to sell in our shop
If I can have a separate SKU for my bundle product, that would be preferred but is no show breaker...

Product Name: DENALI D4 BUNDLE (GEN II) BMW R1250 GSA

What I would want to achieve:
There are some products, which are fixed for this bundle, in this case
    -	2 x D4 Light Pod (but, the D4 Pod is only existing as a single product, I don’t have a product which includes 2 D4 Pods already)
    -	1 x Controller
Then there are some options, which depend on what bike the customer chose. All the products for the 3 showing categories Light Mount, Soundbomb and Rear Light are already existing as single products.
Each of the 3 showing categories I will be able to chose “None” or 1 – 3 options, depending on where i.e. my preference of where I want to mount the products.
Unlike in the screenshot above, I would want to show both of the already included products first of all to ensure the customer that those (the 2 pods and the controller) are definitely in this bundle.
Then the dropdowns would be showing.

I have already created a really great logic for this on our German website, using composite products. However, this solution seems to scary to people and is not used at all ? Hence my thought is to go back to just offering halfway fixed bundles where you can add some more options you can chose. It seems UX is less scary because people don’t have to think that much.. Have a look if you want on the German site:
    https://moto-mate.de/product-category/moto-mate-easy-kits/bmw-easy-kits/
Finally, the bundles will, spread over approx.. 10 bike manufacturers and in total 70 – 80 bike models, each model might have 5 – 10 model-specific bundles. So a lot of product bundles, hence I would need to try to keep it as less manual as possible..

Finally, I don't understand how I can add a screenshot here, sorry.
Really curious on your thoughts. Thank you!

    Hi @susannezn

As mentioned by Igor above, you can try the extension below, if I understood you correctly, this is exactly what you’re looking for:

    All the best,

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. Hopefully, the above info was helpful.
