• Hi there,

Last Friday, I activated the plugin for LES (https://lowenergysupermarket.com/) because I only need the data layers to push conversion data in Google Ads through the G.Ads tracking tag.

What happened is that over the weekend, the conversions recorded in GA dropped to 0 in Google Analytics for all channels. This morning, I reverted the changes and deactivated the plugin, and GA started pushing revenue data again.

    Background information.

GA is currently recording revenue through the Woocommerce Google Analytics integration (https://en-gb.www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-google-analytics-integration/), which automatically links GA & WooCommerce.

I noticed that to push data layers to GTM through your plugin. I needed to flag the option in the integration section.

Could that be that they went into conflict?

    Hi,

Without seeing your site “in action” I can not tell you the exact reason.
If you haven’t added any Google Analytics related tags or variables into your GTM container, it should not conflict with your existing Google Analytics plugin.

However, I haven’t tested your plugin setup: if I use GTM somewhere, all tracking is setup using GTM and I try to avoid mixing hard coded tracking codes and GTM.
