Issue with latest elementor

    Hi, with the latest elementor update, I’m not able to edit pages in elementor directly. When deactivating your plugin everythings works. Can you check compatibility please?

    I’m sorry to hear that page editing does not work on your site

    In this case, the system info you shared does not seem to incorporate our plugin. Perhaps you may let us know of the Visibility Logic For Elementor plugin version you are using. I also carried out some tests on this from my testing end and page editing does actually work while using the latest versions of the free Elementor and Elementor Pro plugins. Kindly ensure that you also update the free Elementor plugin to version 3.6.1.

    Thanks for your fast reply. It all started with the latest elementor version and stops only when I deactivate your plugin. So for the moment I rolled back to a former elementor version. The rest is on the latest version. I also contacted the elementor support but they also couldn’t find an answer yet.

    Please don’t stop checking as your plugin works perfect for my current needs.

    Also, kindly let us know of the following:

    1. The exact Visibility Logic plugin version you are using
    2. Whether there are any specific errors logged after updating the free version of the plugin

    Elementor 3.6.1: sure, with that update the error happened
    Visibility Logic plugin version: 2.2.9
    errors logged: I couldn’t see any. Don’t know if you can see more in the system log file

    Searched the forum for $control_id error and found this thread. I am experiencing the same problem, and am sure it is from Visibility Logic (I have both free and pro installed). Free version 2.2.9 (the latest, as far as I know) creates this PHP error. I created a staging site and deactivated every plugin, one by one, to narrow this down. I love this plugin, so hoping a fix is released fairly soon.

    @johnweru and @mattsingley is there a fix to this issue? The depreciation issue. I too have had to stop updates so the site will stay alive. If there isn’t a fix for this I would have to deal with the issue in a different way, and likely remove using this plugin…I love this plugin so I do not want to go down that route.

    No one else is seeing this, I have a hard time believing it’s a rare issue, as it seems to be a core elementor/visibility depreciation…not anything to do with PHP or WP versions…but I don’t have a clue…so forgive me ??

    with the latest elementor update 3.6.2 it works again on my side. It takes some seconds until the editing screen is loaded but then it works as expected. Don’t know what your latest version was when the issue occured but you might give it a try.

    The version of elementor I’m using is 3.6.7. I have tried many things to work my way around with the loading of elementor like increasing memory limit, enabled safe mode, disabled plugins, increase memory limit in php.ini file, etc but it doesn’t work.

    Check the pastebin for System Info.
