    Hi,
I just started using the Event Tickets plugin. The free version. I need to be able to setup an RSVP for an event but I’d like to be able to limit the number of guests you can choose. In other words, the form should allow RSVP of one individual and one (maximum) guest.

I don’t see where I can limit the numbert of guests you can select.
Is this not supported in the free version?

If I can’t do that, is there any way to change the default text that says?:

“Please submit your RSVP information, including the total number of guests”

I’d like to be able to say something like “one guest maximum……”

    thanks in advance

    Hi @saz25

You can use the snippet at the bottom of this Knowledgebase article to limit the number of guests per RSVP:

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Thanks for the reply.
    I have a few questions/comments:
    1) Do I locate the ID by hovering over the pencil edt icon next to the RSVP event? Thats the ID I used. Is that correct?

    2) What I’s like to do is only allow these scenerios:
    RSVP of one person
RSVP of obe person plus only one guest

    thanks,
    Steve

I think I figured out the event ID. Correct me if I’m wrong.
If I hover over the “Edit Event” under the Event Details, I look at the “post=” number.
Corrrect? That seems to be the correct ID…… I think.

Using your code, if I set $available_at_a_time equal to 1, then I must enter at least 1 guest. It can’t be 0.

If I set it to 2, then I get a message “Value must be less than or equal to 2”.

Keep in mind this refers to RSVP and NOT tickets.

    Suggestions?
    thanks
    Steve

    Hi @saz25

Glad to hear that you figured out the ticket ID. If you set the value to 1, does the snippet work as expected?

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,

No it does not work. It doesn’t allow 0 guests.

Any more update on this? Can it support an RSVP with 0 or 1 guest, no more than 1 guest.
    Thanks

    Hi @saz25

The snippet will not allow you to submit an RSVP with 0 guests, but it will allow 1 guest. Does that help?

    Thanks,
    Jaime

That’s what I thought. No that won’t work for me. But I need to be able to support only 2 situations:

    RSVP with no quests.
    RSVP with one quest.

    Thanks

    Hi @saz25

I’m sorry that I don’t have a solution with that snippet. The other option would be to allow the “Not Going” RSVP choice. This is the only way that you can allow a guest to say that they are not coming.

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jaime
