• I can’t pinpoint a cause. It truly seems random. It’s getting results because the length is different based on if I type a known term or just gibberish.

Has anyone else run in to this issue at all?

About the only thing I can think is maybe, because my dev server is a little on the sluggish side, maybe that has something to do with it?

    Help!

    EDIT TO ADD:
windows 10 > edge, chrome, firefox

    I should clarify…

It’s a 0 width, but I’m assuming because of padding it is visible as a maybe 10px wide column that appears and at the bottom, I can see the V of “View All” for the button. As far as I’m aware I’ve not messed with the css for these elements (unless they’re shared with something else I might have changed) but even if that was the case, it doesn’t happen ALL the time. just randomly.

    Hello there.

Here’s a shot of what it usually looks like:

    and here’s the occasional ‘glitch’.
    https://iloc.sikichdevelopment.com/wp-content/themes/iloca-sikich/img/search2.png

EDIT TO ADD* that white X in the 2nd shot is just the CLOSE button, it’s not part of the issue ??

I discovered today that if I resize the browser window when it happens, the search drop-down “pops” open to the correct width. Not sure if that means anything but that’s the behavior I’m seeing.

https://iloc.sikichdevelopment.com/ is the site if you want to poke around. The “glitch” happens in all the different locations I use it so it’s not particular to the are in the screenshots.

Thanks in advance for looking in to this. I know it’s almost certain I caused it, but I can’t track it down.

another thing I’ve noticed… I can almost ALWAYS make it happen if I start typing something and pause a second, then type more (or delete) and change the search string. It always seems to glitch if I do that. If I just type out my search query quickly, it works every time.

    Hi there,

Unfortunately I can’t replicate the issue.
I’ve checked on Windows 10 in the next browsers:
    – Chrome version 100.0.4896.60 (64-bit)
    – Microsoft Edge version 100.0.1185.29 (64-bit)

Could you please provide the version of your browsers?
    Thank you!
