Several different post content blocks in 1 template
-
Hello, I’m fairly new to WordPress but have done the 3-part of FSE course. I’m developing a small family history site for my wider family on Desktop Server, so can’t link to it at present.
I’d like a series of pages with details of different individuals so have created a ‘Person page’ template with the following elements:
Header
Post title
2 columns: featured image; key facts – both would be unique to each person page
3 columns: Parents; Siblings; spouse/children – again unique text in each column each time. (I’ve created a Template block for this)I want to add appropriate relevant text (or image) to each of the 5 columns. But when I add a new page and select ‘Person page’ template, I just get a screen with Add title and one post content area.
Could anyone tell me how to change things so when I add a new page using this template I get a screen with the option to add a page image and 4 blocks of different text content. I’m sorry if I’m not describing this very well – any suggestions most appreciated.
Thanks.
[I have managed to sort out the featured image for myself now – so just getting different text in various columns now.]
