• I just upgraded to 3.0 and now we can’t access our blog at all. Every time I try to go directly to my blog or access any permalinks, I get only a white page. I can’t access my administrative sections or anything.

Here’s the main blog page: https://www.acetinc.com/blog

    Help, please?!

Try resettings your plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

How can I reset my plugins if I can’t access the admin area?

I tried resetting them using phpMyAdmin and it didn’t change anything.

Download WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of the /wp-admin/ and /wp-includes/ directories with fresh copies from the download.

    To no avail. ??

Try renaming the plugins directory. Create a new directoy in its place called plugins and assign it the same permissions as the old one.
Everytime I have seen this issue is was from plugins.

I think so, too, I’m just not sure how to deactivate them when I can’t access the administrative area. Bearing in mind that I’m quite novice when it comes to these dealings. ??

If nothing else, can someone tell me how to upload my latest backup? We really need to get this back up and running since it’s for our business.

Use your FTP client or whatever File Manager you use to follow my directions above.

Follow this guide to restore your backup:

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup

    Catchable fatal error:

Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/marc83/public_html/cheapimpulse.com/wp-content/themes/tiny-news-single/tinynews/index.php on line 127.

Here is what’s on line 127:
    <h2><span>”><?php echo get_option(‘portal_mid1’) ;?></span></h2>

This may help you guys figure out the issue. When I installed the theme this showed up:

when I install it it says: `Warning: fopen(/home/marc83/public_html/cheapimpulse.com/wp-content/themes/tiny-news-single/style.css) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/marc83/public_html/cheapimpulse.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4165

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/marc83/public_html/cheapimpulse.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4171`

**** I hope you guys can help me. I was excited because I bought this theme and it’s not working. It’s my first time to have a blog and it would be nice if someone could help me out.

? I think you posted that to the wrong topic.

Sorry, I’m in panic mode. ?? I need to get this thing up. Can anyone help me?

I got mine to work – my theme’s stylesheet didn’t transfer over, so we lost our theme and had to revert to the default. At least it works!!! Thanks!
