Missing authors in product editing admin

    We have a storefront child theme, in which i have set up products to be able to have authors.
    We have a large store with many sellers [set up as authors].

    I have now noticed that when in the dropdown authors list, I no longer have all of my authors, but it is now showing only administrators users.
    The products that are already linked to a specific author have only that author in their dropdown options, with the administrator users.

    We’ve made no change in the theme or settings, so not sure where this is coming from.

    Can anyone point us in the right direction?

    In order to get a better idea, please provide the following information:

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

    Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if any).

    Worth mentioning that I am able to bring back all authors to the list by adding to my theme’s functions:

    $role = get_role('author');
$role->add_cap('edit_products');

    But that’s probably dirty, and also it was working just fine without it…

    Thank you for sending your system status report and error log.

    We have a storefront child theme, in which i have set up products to be able to have authors.
    We have a large store with many sellers [set up as authors].
    I have now noticed that when in the dropdown authors list, I no longer have all of my authors
