It gave me a redirect error

Just to confirm – are you using any redirection plugin? It will be best if you can share a copy of your site’s System Status so that we can get a better idea of your setup. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Additionally, could you please navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and from the dropdown on the right side, please see if there are any logs starting with the words fatal-error? Please let us know what you find.

When all plug-ins were disabled my site was back up and running. After re-enabling them, the site went down again. I played with disabling and re-enabling the plug-ins until I found which plug-in was bad.

It is great that you already started some troubleshooting, but it seems the conflict test you started was not conducted fully. Here’s the conflict test guide for reference, but we’d like to check your system status report first before recommending the conflict test.

Your theme might be the culprit. Some of the components that related WooCommerce may be outdated/deprecated. Do the following in order to pinpoint the issue.

1.Disable the current theme

2.Download and active the default “Storefront” theme.
3. Activate all the plugins and see if that solves the problem.

Since I took the screen shots below, I have reset my entire site. Doing so worked for a few days. Yesterday evening I reset up WooCommerce for the site and somewhere in selecting settings in WooCommerce for payments, tax, and shipping my site broke again and gave the same error message. Like last time, when I deactivate WooCommerce you can access the site again. If I have to reset my site again, whatever. I really need this to work so I can start my business once and for all. Do you have step by step directions to set up WooCommerce so the site doesn’t break again or is there another plug in or multiple that will do the same job as WooCommerce. I’m open for anything on a very limited budget until I get some revenue from my store.

I sent the following on 8/6/22 via email it came back to me as undeliverable. This is not allowing me to post the screen shots. Without email how do I get those over to you?

My site is still broken. Please see the following screen shots. The first one is disabling all plug-ins.

This second screen shot is with only WooCommerce selected.

This third screen shot is with all Plug-ins selected except for WooCommerce.

Since I sent my initial help ticket, I have tried changing the website theme. I have tried deleting all of the plug-ins and reloading them with no change. Yesterday evening, I was given the option of update the WordPress version which I did. My original issue is still the issue I have. Please help me with the next steps.

Thanks for the screenshots and your system status.

The link shared earlier by Igor is an optimal starting point to be able to resolve this problem. You have to take some time and go through all points in the article which describes exactly how to fix the ‘ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS’ error that is displayed on your screenshot.

I have often seen the .htaccess file (point 4 of the article) being responsible for this. Follow the instructions to reset the file or reach out to your hosting company and ask them to take a look.

Thank you for the attempts at helping me. None of it worked.

Looking at the hosting company site I found a link that said redirects. Not understanding one bit how to make that work I found in their verbiage above the setting redirects section something about Force https. Though I still can’t figure out how to get back to the screen it was talking about, I pushed the Unforce https button. Walla, my site was back up and running though it was saying not secure. I remembered in the WooCommerce setup it said something about the SSL and Force https. It took about 15minutes for me to find the right screen but. After playing with it for a few seconds I figured it out. WooCommerce/Settings/Advanced (tab), under the page setup section/secure checkout there are 2 check boxes. The top one says Force Secure check out Force SSL (HTTPS) on the checkout pages (an SSL Certificate is required). The Second one says Force HTTP when leaving the checkout. Not knowing any better, I had both of these boxes checked. Once I unchecked the second box my site came back up products and all.

I don’t know how to get through to WooCommerce, but WordPress says all over it that you don’t need to have web building experience to set up an online store. It would be VERY helpful if there was a note on this section that says to NOT HAVE BOTH BOXES CHECKED.

If in the future someone reaches out and has the same issue and it is WooCommerce that they are having issues with please let them know of this issue and to check that before going through all the extra steps that I’m sure works with the other plugins but definitely not with this issue.
