  • Hi @shubr86 thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear that you are losing traffic on your Web Stories.

We are limited to Web Stories plugin support here but I’d be happy to check your setup to ensure everything looks good from a Web Stories perspective. Please could you provide some story urls that are affected and your Site Health information or You can share privately if you prefer via this form.

hey, please check. I sent you all the necessary information through the form. I wish I got a proper solution to the issue because today’s traffic is also decreased its just hit 1k visitors. this is very very low.

@shubr86 Thanks a lot for getting the information over. I can’t see anything to stands out from your Site Health information and your story is passing AMP validation so looks good.

I did notice that you are not on the latest version of Web Stories so I would recommend updating to the latest version if you can but this shouldn’t make any difference to your traffic to your stories.

As you Web Stories setup looks good I would say that questions about search rankings and traffic are generally better suited for Google Search Central, as they go a bit beyond our support offering for the Web Stories WordPress plugin.

That being said, it is not unusual to see spikes and declines in traffic, for example when content is being featured on Google Discover. At the same time, Google Search is constantly improving its algorithms, which can affect ranking. Linking to / embedding stories from other places on your sites and following the recommendations from the pre-publish checklist is a good way to ensure your users will find your stories.

If you’re not sure whether a change in traffic is caused by a change to your site, use Search Console’s various tools to see if your content is properly crawled and indexed. The help resources at Google Search Central can further help debug cases like this.

actually recently I open a support ticket someone else replies that the issue with stories is “CSS syntax error in tag ‘style amp-custom'” so she advises me to change the theme or try to diagnose with a plugin, simply her means that something interfear with the web-stories plugin code. I check everything and changed the theme and deactivate all plugins but the error was not solved.
So, at last, she told me to start from scratch remove everything and then install the web-story plugin and make stories. I do the same now error is fixed but my old stories went and I make some new stories daily but can’t get traffic now. i know traffic is not in your hand i just share this.
