[Plugin: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin] White page when I activate the plugin

  • I’m not sure what’s happening exactly, because I can’t find any error messages – neither on screen (disabled) nor in any logfile.

    But:
    Every time I activate YARPP in my WordPress 3.0 Multisite environment I get a blank page when I click “Activate” (or when I use the drop down and button to do the same). When I go back the plugin seems to be activated anyway. I can deactivate it and when I try to activate it again I get the white page again.

  • What you describe looks like a PHP issue. Do you have a recent PHP version and at least PHP5 ? The Apache error logs on your servers could shed some light on this.

    @blam4c: when you say “when I go back” after you activate, does that mean if you reload the page or visit your site again after that, it actually is all working? So it’s just an immediate issue with installation? Or does it actually break your site/wp-admin completely?

    I agree with @dsaunier, it seems like a PHP issue, though, so I would suggest getting a PHP log, or turning up its sensitivity. You should be able to check with your hosting on that.
