• Hello,

i wonder how many blocks I could add into a Post or Page without crashing it?

Curious if 1000x “Media & Text” Block among each other, and with a pagebreak every 20th block would totally destroy my page?

    This one: https://ultimateblocks.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Add-an-Image-.png

Are there any official limitations from wordpress regarding mass block usage?

Right now, I′m testing 100x, and now and then there are some “hick-ups” -> Attempt Block Recovery <-, and rarely I′m getting a blank page after refresh.

But I dont know if it′s just me, my hosting, or if 100+ blocks on one page are technical speaking too much for wordpress and a risk (of destroying my page that way)

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

  • Hi there,

Whilst I am not 100% familiar with this topic, in theory it could be possible to add say 10 thousand blocks or more.

Whilst I don’t believe this would “Destroy your page” it would lead to significant load times and assuming a user loaded in; it would also cause significant memory usage for both their browser and your server.

Therefore whilst I believe it might be possible I would advise against it. Not to mentions as you said WordPress might prevent it if you went over a certain amount, though this would vary depending on your version etc.

    Hope this helps!
