    Hello @sgumby

Thanks for reaching out about the notifications as I understand you found them unuseful. To be clear, are you referring to the notifications under SEO > General or the notification badge in the WordPress top toolbar?

We believe that all of the notifications you receive, whether it’s about a new plugin update or release, or if there’s something on your website that needs your attention, are important and would add value so you can continue to optimize your website. Of course, you can always click on the ‘eye’ icon in the WordPress dashboard to hide the notification.

You can, however, disable the notifications from the Yoast SEO plugin from the admin bar. To learn more about how to do that, please check – https://yoast.com/help/remove-yoast-seo-admin-bar/

The current notification I have is “It looks like you aren’t using our Yoast WooCommerce SEO addon. Upgrade today to unlock more tools and SEO features to make your products stand out in search results.”

THIS IS NOT A NEEDED NOTIFICATION. For OCD people all of these notifications are annoying. Why do you need to do this?

The other notification is “We see that you enabled automatic updates for WordPress. We recommend that you do this for Yoast SEO as well. This way we can guarantee that WordPress and Yoast SEO will continue to run smoothly together. Go to your plugins overview to enable auto-updates for Yoast SEO.”

    I DON’T NEED THIS!!!!!

And by the way. I’ve turned OFF auto updates for the whole installation, theme and plugins. That means this notification is wrong.

The worst part is there appears to be no way to delete them or turn off notifications. Wait….I found a way. “Deactivate”

Sorry. I don’t mean to be so snarky but really…… Does having an annoying plugin really make you more money? I know stuff needs to be updated and that you have other plugins/extensions. I’m building a WHOLE SITE that needs lots of stuff…..and you are such a small piece of the puzzle for you to have constant notification nags is just not needed.
