Alternative to Askimet, JetPack, and Virisi

  • Hi WP champions
    Recently I asked about malware software for my site. And you all provided the best black bot and scanner plug-ins. Thanks.
    But now I need Askimet, and they’re saying JetPack and Virisi too.
    I don’t know about them, but it’s about $600 per annum. Woh.
    Does anyone know what alternative cheaper and as good plugins are out there for malware? Anti spam link injection and post creation, spam comments, and other security?
    I could easy pay Askimet and JetPack but the beginner package is starting at $600 per annum, later it’s over $2000 per annum.
    Any idea champions?

    Where are you getting your information from? Certainly not from Akismet.com or JetPack.com!

    Akismet has a generous 100% free plan for personal use, and even commercial usage starts at just $100/year. See: https://akismet.com/plans/

    JetPack likewise has a generous free tier, and their paid “Security” plan (which includes offsite backup) starts at about $107.4/year with the first year discount, and US$299.40/year subsequently. In fact, if you’re only interested in their security feature (minus backup, etc), that’s significantly cheaper. See: https://cloud.jetpack.com/pricing

    Please note that I have no relation with JetPack or Akismet: I’m simply correcting the inaccurate information you mentioned about their pricing, using information publicly available on their respective websites.

    In any case, there are a whole lot of WordPress security solutions out there, and nearly all of them (just like Akismet and JetPack), are free with paid addons/upgrades.

    I’ll advice you invest a little time to review a couple of these, and pick the one that best serves your needs. And if you must get a paid upgrade, please visit the plugin’s official website to get accurate pricing!

    I’m qoting AUD, not USD.
    I’m looking for wise advice on alternatives to paid plans at JetPack and Askiment.
