Theme not installing

Hi, am at the end of my tether so please help. I used dreamhost to install wordpress advanced. I purchased a theme from wootheme. I logged in to FTP and found directory and moved theme across.
It seems to transfer successfully but does not then show up in the directory or become available in wordpress.
I did this same thing with another site just two weeks ago.
I have tried a hundred times deleting and reinstalling the one click download from dreamhost and uploading theme via FTP.
Bur always same result. Can someone help?
