this one file has strange unchangeble file permissions and it causes problems

Hi!
This one file on my server is being terribly obstinate. It’s seems to be an innocent .png file, but the file permissions are 204 and it won’t allow me to change them. I also can’t open, download or delete it. This is a problem because this file causes errors when trying to backup and I am generally starting to get a bit suspicious of it.

Does anyone know what this file is and why it’s being such a *bleep*?
The location/name of the file is: /htdocs/wp-content/uploads/rating-sprite.png

I searched the forum for related questions, but couldn’t find anything that helped me. Also google could’nt help.
