new 1.5 theme (unfinished) — walking tall

  • I’m working on a new WordPress theme, but I’ll have to finish it up when the Codex comes back.

    walking tall is a very simple theme based on things from a variety of different themes. Again, it isn’t finished, but your thoughtful criticism is still very much appreciated.

    Pretty. The header photo is HUGE, but then that is a growing fad in blogs. I keep debating the issue of wasted space and having to scroll down to read anything past the header, but that’s an opinion not a condemnation. Very good looking design. It will be better when you have some test content and set it up so we can see the “first page” of excerpts and then the categories and single posts to see how you are modifying those, if you are. Very clean.

    You mentioned you took some “ideas” from other blogs. To help everyone here, what was it that you really liked and “borrowed” so we can get a taste of what people really want in their designs.
