    Hi,
“Geolocate with page caching support” Option would add a ?v=xxxxx parameter to the whole site.
Does it necessary if the checkout page is excluded from cache? Many caching plugins already did that.

The ?v=xxxxx added to your URLs is normal and is used to avoid the static caching of pages.

Does it necessary if the checkout page is excluded from cache? Many caching plugins already did that.

If you’d like to remove this part, you’ll want to select a different option in WooCommerce → Settings → Default Customer Location. For reference, kindly check this guide: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/configuring-woocommerce-settings/#general-options.

Do let us know if we can be of further assistance.

    Thanks for the reply!
I have already read the guide before posting.
It seems unnecessary to add parameters to the whole site since the customer base is only used on the checkout page.
If I already exclude the checkout page from caching, do I still need to select “Geolocate with the page caching support”?

    Hi @homu9

exclude the checkout page from caching

It is a must. Great that it is already done.

do I still need to select “Geolocate with the page caching support”?

    No, you do not.

To be more precise, if you are excluding the cart, checkout and account pages in your page caching, then you should be fine to use the regular geocaching. On the other hand, if you are running things that influence prices or display based on location of the customer (such as hiding products based on country, etc.), then you would want to use the page caching safe version.

    I hope that clarifies. ??

    Thanks
