• Forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere ~ Does Tove not support the Twentig extension / plugin? I was hoping the Twentig plugin enables / add more features that the Tove theme considerably lacks. Namely – sticky headers, Google Fonts support (for some reaspon Tove prohibits all other fonts than “DM sans”), to name a few.

I was expecting the Twentig plugin to be fully compatible with all block based themes. Which I was hoping Tove to be already compatible. However disappointingly it is not, as per what I found having installed the Twentig plugin and be greeted with an error that there was no “block theme” compatible elements were found.

Any help would be appreciated on this. regards, Andy.

    Hi @andyw85,

If Twentig supports block themes, it should support Tove, since there’s no meaningful difference between Tove and other block themes. You might have a better chance of getting help if you ask Twentig support.

    Hi Anders,

Much appreciated to hear. You are correct. Maybe I should post a thread somewhere in Twentig support forums. Shall do.

Thank you once again meanwhile for providing a aesthetic-centric theme.

    regards Andyw85.

    Dear Anders,

Quite some time has elapsed and after lengthy support tickets back and forth from the other forum; I am nearing “giving up”.

I am met with a lot of limitations and that sadly no one methodology actually covers all the basics, even in 2022; that I was looking for:

1). Google fonts native support (not limited to just a few selections). I was actually advised by Twentig that including this feature severely impacts performance…is this true..?
2). Twentig options compatibility to add features ~ such as sticky headers.
3). Full Site Editing retained, with future updates moving forward.

I am so far have drained away weeks upon weeks; of needless troubleshooting, trial and errors, stagings and so far I am very surprised I am still not able to find a method that at least caters all three above features. Am I really very small set of users who are asking too much? I am really just after yet another “simple” yet diverse liberty of component styling, themes, style-guiding and specifically ~ typography.

Of all dozens of themes I have wasted months of tinkering and trialling in the past, I really wanted your theme to actually succeed to what I think it *should* do as proclaimed ~ “a set of features for modifying the layout, color scheme and typography of sites in the new Site Editor”. Whilst I defenitely see the strengths of your predefined Molecules (as I amcoming from the world of Figma as UX’er), I am yet sadly yet to find a theme or a workflow in WordPress, that can actually caters just the basics of the major three features above.

If you have any thoughts that may help I’d be thankful.
    sincerely Andy.
    Regards,
