    Working with a client site and are manually translating the products from english to russian (WooCommerce -> WooCommerce Multilingual -> Product -> Edit the russian translation). Using custom fields (description, ingredients) and the fields with the russian content do not show up in the product page when changing language from english to russian (via the language selector in the menu of the official page).

    Hello @crimsonblackbeard,

    Please try the following:
    – Go to WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation;
    – Check if the fields are availalbe there. If so, set them as “Translate” and save;
    – Go to the original product, do a small modification and save;
    – Edit the translationa nd check if the fields are available now;

    If it does not work, it may be a compatibility issue with your theme/plugin. In this case, could you please create a new ticket in the WPML support forum? https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/

    Regards,
    Diego

    All required fields was selected as “Translate”. I got it to work by changing the wp-admin language to russian and then edit products, then selecting english again. Seems like a workaround that will work for now. I believe there is a issue with the theme. Anyway, thanks for your reply.

    Hi there, I’m glad you found a way to make it work!

    If you want, please invite the theme author to our go-global program: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/ – this way we can help them to improve theme compatibility.
