We have a bug in the shopping cart caused by the Jetpack plugin being active.

We are using TM Extra Product Options by Theme Complete, WooCommerce, and WooCommerce UPS Shipping. Everything works fine, except when Jetpack is enabled, suddenly the extra fee we use for an added customer review doubles in price when a shipping address is added. If the shipping option selected is changed, it corrects back to the right price, but users are not seeing this workaround and are confused by the doubled fee. If we disable Jetpack, the issue goes away immediately. Problem is, Jetpack is required for WooCommerce Shipping and Tax to work. So, we can’t turn it off.

The Jetpack features we are using are:

    – Downtime monitor
    – Brute force protection

If I turn off ALL of these features in the settings of Jetpack, the bug still occurs. If I disable Jetpack entirely, the bug goes away.

    Please help resolve this!

Upon further investigation, I believe that the issue is with the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax Plugin that relied on Jetpack. If I turn off WooCommerce Shipping & Tax it also fixes the issue, just like Jetpack. I will open a ticket with that plugin as well.

    Hi @mystyleplatform

I can see you mentioned having an issue with the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax Plugin, which relies on Jetpack to work and make the necessary calculations; that’s why disabling Jetpack causes the bug you are having to disappear, which seems to be a conflict and bug happening as you are using another integration to offer that product as extra. Is there any way you can force the shipping as free for that “customer review” extra product?

Since this is a conflict, it’s worth checking with Theme Complete support to see if there’s any way they can bypass the shipping rate, so it isn’t doubled.

Meanwhile, please don’t forget to include a link to this thread when reaching out to us.
