Jetpack stats reset/lost after switching to staging site

Hello,

I’m a developer working on a client’s site. We made a fresh site, however, the Jetpack stats the original site had accrued over the years (views, etc.) seemed to have gotten reset after connecting to Jetpack on the new staging site (which used to be on the staging domain tacj.vihanchaudhry.com, but is now live at armchairjournal.com).

I figured it was related to the domain being different so I waited till the site went live in the hopes that the stats would return when the correct domain was connected, but they did not.

I read some other similar support posts on here, and it seems this has something to do with a new blog ID being assigned to the new site at the staging url when it was created.

Is it possible to have the Jetpack stats restored?
