Can’t turn on PHP File Editing protection

    Hello WordPress Memebers,
    When I check the box for “PHP File Editing” protection and click save it says that it’s turned on but when I refresh the page it’s turned off automatically again.

    I do not get any error why I can’t turn it on.

    Hi,

    Can you try doing this again, making sure to hit the “Save button”, if you are still experiencing the issue, could you do a screen recording?

    Unfortunately WordPress moderators do not allow this. You will need to put it onto to some remote storage such as drobbox and share the link

    I am still having the same issue. I checked the option and clicked save but after reloading the page it’s disabled again.

    It’s fixed for now because I put the following code in the wp-config.php:
    define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true);

    Hi,

    I’m unable to reproduce this issue.

    Are you on the latest version of the plugin?

    If so could you open your browser developer console, navigate to the network tab and then save the settings.

    What response code does that return?

    Is this the only setting that doesn’t save for you?
