After pressing the logout button in [login-logout-toggle] shortcode it says logged out, but I still can access content in [restricted] shortcode for some reason. After visiting page with [login-logout-toggle] shortcode it shows me logout button again.

    Hello egor,

Are you logged in to WordPress while trying this? If so, log out of WordPress and try again.

If not, then it could be that the cookie is not getting removed after logging out. Could you try logging in and out using an incognito/private window with no extensions enabled or other tabs opened and see if that makes a difference?

If not, then can you test using by placing the regular [logout] shortcode on a page (instead of the [login-logout-toggle] shortcode)? Does that one correctly log you out?

    Hello @jaysupport,

I’m doing that in an incognito window and all extensions are disabled. Tested again in a different browser, and logged out from the admin dashboard, didn’t help. I can confirm that EWD_FEUP_Login cookie is not deleted after logout. Created a new page with [logout] shortcode and placed the link to that page on the page where [restricted] content shortcode was placed but the same issue occurs. Noticed that sometimes EWD_FEUP_Login cookie is stored twice though the token is different.

Noticed that on the FAQs page it says that the logout button has to appear with [logout] shortcode, but I can only see a successful logout message.

We just realized you’re also emailing about this issue. Since there’s no need to have two separate conversations about the same issue, we’ll continue it in the email as we’ve just replied to your last message.

    Thanks

since this is marked solved – any chance, that the solution could be published here as well?

    Hi freudenberg,

The user who started this thread never responded to the last email message we sent to them, so we don’t know which solution ended up working. I can tell you that, in the end, it seemed to be either a plugin conflict or an issue with caching on their site. So, if you’re having a similar issue, first check to see if you have any other membership plugins or plugins with similar functionality and test by temporarily deactivating them. If you don’t have any such plugins, then test by temporarily deactivating all plugins except ours.

If that doesn’t make any difference, then do you have any caching running on your site, either via a plugin or your host/server? If so, please purge/delete the cache and try again.

Also, make sure you are not logged in to WordPress when testing this.

I ended up using [login] and [logout] shortcodes instead of [login-logout-toggle]. Maybe a plugin conflict caused this problem but I never figured it out.
