How to resolve: “Ensure text remains visible during webfont load”

tl;dr – Can someone please help me to “ensure text remains visible during webfont load” when using the Colibri theme?

Hi all,

I get this error message using the Google PageSpeed test:
“Ensure text remains visible during webfont load”
(https://pagespeed.web.dev/)

The fonts that are causing the problem, according to the pagespeed test, are from fonts.gstatic.com.

I’ve spent days trying to figure out how to fix this error. None of the suggested fixes I’ve found online seem to be applicable when using the Colibri theme. I can’t find where to past “font-display: swap;” or “&display=swap” in the Theme File Editor.

Can somebody please help me figure out how to “Ensure text remains visible during webfont load” when using the Colibri theme?
