First Contentful Paint red cause google font

    Hey. I use the body of the site in Google’s font – Varela Round.
    After changing the font, site more slowdown in loading the site and First Contentful Paint is in red now from pagespeed checker(from score 90 to 75)

    So far I have not succeeded. Is there a solution to prevent Google font loading and leave it so that it does not slow down loading speed?

    The speed of the font loading time depends on the font and google.
    Please try to use our new option to host google fonts locally via Appearance > Customize > Typography > General, and check.
