I recently built a new WordPress site for my organization on a subdomain for development, and migrated it on Friday to the top-level domain. I followed the instructions in this article, as well as running a find-replace in the database to update the links.

For the most part, the site works perfect and the migration was pretty simple. But wp-admin is redirecting to dev.living-future.org and I can’t figure this one out.

I’m also having the problem that external links (like in a previously built Salesforce email) that points to the living-future.org domain is also being redirected to dev.living-future.org as well.

I’m sure there’s something small that I’m overlooking. Anyone have any thoughts?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Have you been able to solve the problem in the meantime? Because I am not automatically redirected. I end up at https://living-future.org/wp-login.php – if this doesn’t happen to you, you should try a different browser or delete your cookies.

I’m an idiot. I totally forgot to check and update the SiteName and SiteAlias entries in the Apache Virtual Host files. For anyone finding this and needing help with the same issue, DON’T FORGET TO CHECK YOUR VHOST FILES.
