Could not establish a connection to the server.

  • I have had this issue recurring on the last three releases on and off (currently on version 2.6.11):

    It happens with an active gateway & the test gateway so the issue is not with the payment gateway.

    The site is hosted on WPMU DEV Platinum tier.

    Initially updating the plugin solved the problem (seemed to at least).

    Then, when it happened again and the plugin was up to date I cleared the host cache (which corrected the issue) and added the payment page to the exceptions.

    Currently using PHP 8.1.5 and the plugin has mostly worked for the past 2 months.

    Another thing I have come across today is when I am logged in as an admin the test gateway seems to work, but when I am logged out it doesn’t.

    Came across this PHP error today:

    Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Unsupported operand types: string + int in /var/web/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/invoicing/includes/user-functions.php:100

    I opened a support ticket this week and today sent admin credentials to [email protected] earlier today.
