I ran a default install of WordPress on my hosting account yesterday, and so far things seem to be working okay, except that trying to access the rss feed gives me a “page not found” error (this link should reproduce the problem).

I’ve tried searching the support forums, but the closest similar issue I’ve found is this one, which doesn’t seem to apply in my case since I do not have permalinks turned on. It looks like there isn’t an .htaccess file in either my web root or my blog directory (I checked with the “list all” option in my FTP client), so I don’t think there’s an issue there.

Any help? I really haven’t changed anything since running the default install yesterday, so I’m not sure what could be causing this problem. My test install on my personal computer, also WordPress 3.0, generates the rss feed just fine, so it’s clearly something wrong with either the install or the server settings on my Fatcow account, but I don’t even know where to begin poking around to solve the problem!

Haha. Never mind. Looks like the problem is that I didn’t have any posts (or at least, the default “Hello World!” post doesn’t show up in the rss feed. Once I imported a bunch of posts from my old blog, the rss feed decided to work just fine.

Guess I asked that question too soon.
