Here is the message I am getting:

Warning: WordPress has a number (53) of scheduled tasks which are overdue. Unless this is a development site, this probably means that the scheduler in
your WordPress install is not working.
Read this page for a guide to possible causes and how to fix it.

    Next scheduled backups:
    Files:
    Fri, May 27, 2022 06:51
    Database:
    Sun, May 22, 2022 06:51
    Time now:Sun, May 29, 2022 08:35

Here are messages from the log though I think the first error is unrelated to the rest not sure:

    Hi,

Did you see the second article that is linked from the first? It’s a list of all the reasons why a scheduler might not be running in a WordPress install: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/my-scheduled-backups-do-nothing-backup-now-stops-midway/

Regardless of the cause and whether it can be found, if you try solution #4 in that article, and then visit a few pages on the site and wait a few minutes, it could very likely get things going again.

    Best wishes,
    Bryle

The error message was gone the moment I modified /etc/hosts to include my server’s public IP hostname. I got the idea when another plugin displayed an error regarding curl 7 connection refused…
