    hello,

i use broken link checker for some time but didn’t manage to get it working for the entire website. i have a url acf field and the key inserted in the acf field config at the plugin settings.

the acf field is inserted in an acf-block, means it is a block in the block editor.

thank you for every help, because i already tried alot!

    Hi @bitmeisterei

I hope you are doing good today.

Can you check in Settings -> Link Checker -> Look for links in tab and see does “Acf fields” is enabled and did you map your fields in a correct way?

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

yes, sure. i have two fields there
    field_5e3fe34687c23
    field_619512d355faa

and double checked it plenty times.

Maybe there is a problem that the fields are in an acf-block (https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/blocks/) ?

    Thank you
    Harald

    Hi @bitmeisterei

    Sorry for the delay here.

I am afraid it is the case yes, ACF won’t save the custom block as postmeta but in the post content as JSON format to recover in the PHP code:

    https://monosnap.com/file/aqmHOxH8AIrCi6ncn5U3gwtHfU0ONo

I could replicate the issue on my website and we reported it to our developers, we are already working on an improved version with a new Engine and I believe it would bypass this issue but we will need to take a deeper look at this and if not, improve the ACF integration.

Unfortunately, we can’t give an estimated time to release this improved engine.

    Best Regards

    Hi!

Is there any progress in this topic? If not, i have to skip the plugin because if the list of links is not complete i can’t use it. And ACF is really no corner case!

    Hi @bitmeisterei

I’m afraid I don’t really have any news on this yet.

There’s ongoing work on a completely new iteration of the plugin that will work (under the hood) in a very different and way more universal and stable/error-free way and it should sort out most of such issues out of the box. However, this is still “at work” and I don’t have ETA.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
